Kirinya Jinja moved to the summit of the Azam Ugandan Premier league following their 2:1 victory over Proline FC in a match played on Tuesday at the Kyazinga stadium in Bugembe.
The visitors Proline FC took the lead in the 32nd minute, when skipper Mandela was brought down inside the box resulting into a penalty which David Owori easily converted but their joy was short-lived when Musa Esenu equalized from the spot kick in the 36th minute after he was fouled inside the box by Ugandan international defender Savio Kabugo.
Musa Esenu completed his brace in the 44th minute when he struck a beautiful volley from a Faizal Mawau header to earn the Charles Ayieko charges maximum points.
Elsewhere goals from Charles Sempa, Henry Kissekka, Abraham Ajab and Dick Kigongo were the difference as Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Demolished Bull FC 4:0 in a match played at the Nambole stadium.
Reigning AUPL KCCA were held to a barren draw by Bright Stars in a midweek encounter played at the Phillip Omondi stadium.
