Bruno Ssuuna is a Ugandan born professional footballer currently playing for RKVB in Holland.
The talented defender while in Uganda played High School football at St. Andrews Collage Zzana, Berkeley Secondary School Namasuba and Yale High School where he met players Habib Kavuma(now at KCCA FC) Ayub Kisaliita(SC Villa) Jimmy Kulaba(URA) among others and he was their captain.
In 2010, Ssuuna was invited to train with top division side Express FC under coach James Magala before going to Kenya in search for greener pastures.
While in Kenya, he played for second division side Kisumu Municipal putting up thunderous performances.
It’s such performances that attracted Dutch side RKVB to sign him and since then he has been a hard rock to crack in defense.
Ssuuna’s strength lies in game reading, command, calmness and aerial prowess and it’s of no surprise that he has captained the Dutch side some times in absence of team skipper
He attributes his success to God and his family for being there for him in good and hard times.
The down to earth and soft spoken defender is a big admirer of former Uganda cranes skipper Ibrahim Sekagya because of his humble beginnings, hard work, commitment, calmness, command and style of play as well as Brazilian footballer Douglas Maicon.
