Gor Mahia Vs KCB FC

Fresh from being knocked out of the prestigious CAF champion’s league in the hands of AC Leopards of Congo going down 2-0 on aggregate, KPL champions Gor Mahia will be seeking to heel their wound when they meet KCB FC in a KPL midweek fixture on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at the Nyayo stadium.

Record shows that this encounter has always been a high scoring one and nothing less is expected today when the two sides lock horns in the 7PM clash. Gor will be welcoming back fresh legs in Burundian Abu Sibomana, Rwandans Nzigiyimana and Meddie Kagere who were not part of Gor’s continental football squad due to late registration, the trio have been very influential for the champions in league matches.

Meddie Kagere so far boasts of two assists and two goals and his partnership with Michael ‘Midusa’ Olunga will be relied upon to deliver the crucial goals. Gor has maintained a perfect start to the season winning all their last three fixtures with a margin of at least two goals and this encounter is expected to be an easy one for K’Ogalo; a win for Gor will propel them back to the table summit.

KCB on the other hand will be praying for redemption after going down 1-0 at home against Chemelil in their last fixture, the task will be a huge one for the bankers as they will also be up against the Gor’s 12th man, the passionate ‘green army’. KCB are placed third from bottom in the KPL table with just 3 points from 4 matches, a win will see them jump to 13th position.

Muhoroni Youth Vs Sofapaka

Youths have been sending mixed signals drawing their first match against Sony before falling to Thika United 4-2; they then beat strugglers Nakuru All Stars before again picking a draw at home against visiting Ushuru FC, today’s match will be a litmus test for the coach Baraza side because they will against one of the high scoring KPL team and his defense that has been accused of letting in easy goals will have to be at their best.

Muhoroni is placed 13th in the KPL log with 5 points from 5 matches; a win today will push them to top 10. The match kicks off at 3PM.

Batoto ba Mungu on the other side will be out to prove why they should be considered title contenders this season; the Sam Timbe side has left a lot of questions marks on their title credentials this season, registering not so convincing results in past fixtures; in their weekend fixture they went down to table leaders and KPL surprise package Western Stima 3-1 at the Moi Stadium. They will be relying on danger man Fiston Abdul to continue delivering goals; the striker is enjoying top form at the moment.
