2015 Kenyan Premier League Champions Gor Mahia Fc will be officially crowned on Saturday,November 7,2015 at the Nyayo National Stadium. This will be the last day of the current league season and Gor will be hosting Muhoroni Youth.
This was confirmed to Soka25east.com this morning by Gor Mahia supremo Ambrose Dickson Otieno Rachier.
“A committee has been formed to ensure the important event is a success. We are not leaving anything to chance because we want it to be a spectacle this time,” ADOR said.
In the past, such events have been interrupted by acts of pitch invasion by a section of fans, something the committee would not want a repeat of this year.
“Security will be top notch to ensure no one invades the field of play denying players and their families a chance for dignified celebration.” He added.
Thankful
Rachier thanked Gor Mahia fans for the undying support for the club all season, saying without the support, it would have been hard for the management to achieve another milestone.
“I want to thank the fans for the financial and moral support they have offered the team – they have been with us all along, traveling with the team wherever they go, from Congo Brazzaville to Dar Es Salaam and within the country they have been with us through thick and thin,”
He also heaped praises on players and the technical bench for their hard work and dedication under difficult circumstances.
Gor won the 15th title on Wednesday 16 after beating Sony Sugar FC 1-0 at Nyayo – the crown is Gor’s third on the trot.
