Ulinzi Stars defender Geoffrey Kokoyo is optimistic his team will overturn a 1-0 deficit over Libya’s Al Hilal Benghazi when the two teams’ meet in the return leg of CAF Confederations Cup first round at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday, February 18.
Kokoyo has downplayed the loss from the first leg played on Friday, February 10 in Cairo and insists Ulinzi will overturn the result and go to the next round of the competition.
Kokoyo said bad luck conspired to deny them a win in Egypt but is encouraged by the performance put up by the former Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions.
“We dominated the game away aganist our opponents and we lost due to poor officiating.Benghazi is beatable and we hope for a repeat performance in the return leg on Saturday”, he said in an interview with the club’s facebook live.
The 20016 Gotv Shileld finalists face a tough task in a match that will be played at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani at 3pm.
