Tusker hot shot Jesse Were wins the 2015 Kenyan Premier League golden boot after scored a brace in first half goals against the Leopards this afternoon in the final showdown. Tusker FC forward, has netted a total of 22 goals this season, three more than his closest challenger, Gor Mahia’s Michael Olunga.
Were went into the final matchday with 20 goals, just two ahead of Olunga as Tusker played away to AFC Leopards at Kasarani Stadium, while Gor Mahia hosted Muhoroni Youth at the Nyayo Stadium.
Three consecutive hat-tricks which came against Chemelil Sugar, Sofapaka and Thika United was significant in his quest to claim the individual honors.
