Newly promoted Nzoia Sugar FC thrashed Tusker FC 5-2 at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Saturday.

The sugar millers came from a goal down to register a dream start aganist 12 times Kenya Premier League Champions.

Noah Wafula put the brewers ahead in the ninth minute before Elvis Rupia netted an equalizer in the 22nd minute.Former AFC Leopards defender Edwin Wafula took Nzoia into the half time lead.

Shafiq Batambuze also netted from  a free kick for brewers moments after the start of the second half.

Five minutes later Brian Otieno netted his brace from a curling corner before Boniface Odhiambo raced to add the fourth goal for the millers.

Tusker were awarded a penalty but Cifford Alwanga saw his kick saved by an outstanding Nzoia Keeper Benson Mahanga.This marked history for Tusker as they have never lost by a such margin in any domestic competition.

At Baraki Stadium, newly promoted side Nakumatt tasted the salty waters when they were handed a 1-0 defeat by hosts Bandari.

The dockers as expected dominated the match with former Gor Mahia forward Enoch Agwanda netting the lone goal of the match in the 40th minute.

Kepha Aswani could have restored parity later in the second half for the retail traders but his effort was cleared easily by dockers defence.
