The Kenyan Premier League has postponed round 20 matches scheduled for the weekend of 12th and 13th August due to the ongoing electioneering process.

“This due to clubs lacking ample time to prepare and train for the matches as members of their technical staff and players had travelled to various parts of the country to vote during the General Elections which were held on Tuesday, 08 August 2017,” KPL said in a statement.

The matches will be rescheduled to a later date which will be communicated in due course.

Action across the country will resume Wednesday, 16 August next week with round 21 fixtures on the cards.
