By Samuel Gacharira,
Talk of a title challenge from Western Stima is quite far-fetched at the moment but Henry Omino charges are gradually emerging as this season’s surprise package.
Their fairy tale continues this Saturday when they visit Afraha Stadium to square it out against Chemelil Sugar.
The power men looked convincing in their 2-0 drubbing of AFC Leopards last time out and will look to extend their newly found brand of free flowing soccer. With a top four position still within sight, victory will be the main agenda in Nakuru.
Meanwhile last season’s wonder team Chemelil Sugar will be out to put an end to their winless streak. Mike Mururi will certainly ring changes in his side going into this tie in an attempt to whip a siege mentality in his dressing room especially after that surprise 2-2 draw against minnows Nakuru All-Stars in their previous outing.
While an away point will be a fairly good result for the visitors, the hosts-who are currently 12th on the log- are badly in need of a win to steer away from the drop zone.
Meshack Karani and Stephen Wakhanya are expected to lead the onslaught upfront for the Awasi based millers while Western Stima is expected to welcome back skipper George Wesa to the starting lineup after a long injury layoff.
Kickoff is at 1500hrs EAT on Saturday.
