MUHORONI AND CHEMELIL SET FOR AWASI DERBY
Muhoroni Youth will on Saturday 6th June meet rivals Chemelil Sugar in a derby match to be played at the Murhooni Grounds in sugar belt town of Muhuroni .The derby is christened ‘Awasi derby’ because of close proximity of the two clubs. The two teams lie at the Nyando Sugar belt area and are just 12 kilometers apart by road.
Both teams boasts of passionate fans and it is important to note how the fans rivalry will take centre stage on the match day.Muhoroni Fans are however known to be very rowdy of the two.
It could be the last match Coach Francis Baraza will be handling if his team loses to Chemelil.James Omondi of Agro Chemicals is rumoured to be on his way to the Moses Adagala owned club.Baraza will be under immense pressure to save his job considering his side is just 2 points above the relegation with 11 points.Muhoroni Youth has lost the last three games in a row with the 3-0 drubbing by KCB the biggest so far. They lost 0-1 against Gor Mahia and 2-0 at AFC Leopards.
Muhoroni would want to benefit from instrumental captain Abbass Akinyemi who is set to leave the club together with Allan Owiny.
Chemelil Sugar on the other hand has found the season too tough with last year’s coach of the year Mike Mururi begging for time.Mururi who drew his last two matches would want to find a winning formula in this derby.
The latest head to head record put Chemelil on top with a 0-0 draw in October 2014 and a 2-0 victory for Chemelil at the Chemelil Sports complex.
The match will Kick off at 3pm EAT, Venue Muhoroni Grounds.
Nakuru All Stars VS Mathare United
Relegation candidates Nakuru All Stars will welcome visiting Slum boys Mathare United in a match that will be played at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.The match will be played on Saturday 6th June 2015.
Nakuru All stars, who got a reprieve after they were relegated to the second tier, were luck to be back. The team has found it rough at the top tier losing several matches and with only one win, they are hoping to collect maximum points from a resurgent Mathare team.Peter Okidi however is optimistic of victory however he said Mathare is the better side.
The team has drawn their last three matches after the famous 5-0 thrashing at the hands of league leaders Gor Mahia.They drew fellow relegation candidates City Stars 1-1,before getting a point away at Mombasa. They meet a well oiled Stanley Okumbi’s side at their backyard.
Nakuru All stars lie rock bottom of the KPL with a paltry 6 points from 14 outings while the Slum boys are on the 9th position with 19 points.
Mathare’s last match was against AFC Leopards which ended in a 1-1 draw.

STIMA READY TO TAX USHURU IN KISUMU DOUBLE HEADER
Coach Henry Omino will tomorrow lead his charges against visiting Ushuru at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu.Exactly a year ago on the same day and month Western Stima beat Ushuru 1-0 but lost the reverse fixture in Nairobi by a similar score line.
Western Stima are confident of grabbing maximum points to finish the first leg on a high. The Kenya Power sponsored team is currently sitting pretty at the 4th position in the log with 23 points while Ushuru are lying a distance 8th with 20 points.
Omino while speaking to the media said he is prepared well and they will put aside their disappointment of a goalless draw last weekend against Chemelil.He said he expects fans to come out in large numbers to cheer them.
Ushuru FC ‘s coach Ken Kenyatta was however non committal as he said his charges have been improving match by match and that he expects good results.
The match will be played as from 1:30pm EAT and will be followed by the Gor Mahia vs Tusker match at 3:15 pm.
