The Kenyan Premier League will Tuesday unveil Bamba Sports as their live broadcast partner.

The short term deal worth about thirty six million Kenyan Shillings is a stop gap measure to ensure the topflight returns on television as soon as possible for the remaining half of the season.

KPL has been in the dark for months after shock exit of Supersport early this year. The South Africa based pay TV giants terminated its contract for alleged breach of contract.

Supersport paid around sixty six million shillings for the second leg of the KPL.

According close sources at KPL and the Football Kenya Federation, Bamba Sports, a subsidiary of Radio Africa group, will air live one match every weekend.

A more lucrative deal which will guarantee the 18 KPL clubs monetary gain is believed to be the pipeline.

To actualize this, the FKF is in the process of purchasing three OB vans that will enable production of the local content for sale to different takers including pay TV, free to air and online platforms.

Bamba already have a running contract with the FKF to broadcast live the National Super League. They have also been beaming live a number of the national team’s friendly matches.
