Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giant AFC Leopards have bolstered their squad by bringing on board seven experienced players, as they hope to give a better a count of themselves in the coming new season under the Dutchman Jan Koops.
Among the new faces at the den is Ugandan forward Jimmy Bageya who is making a return to the 13-time league winners from City Stars. Bageya, a gifted dribbler, was a huge asset to the Kawangware based outfit helping them to avoid relegation by a whisker in the 2015 season – for his troubles he emerged the best player for the month of October 2015.
The other acquisitions include; striker Kepha Aswani from Thika United, Dennis Nzomo (Tusker), Yusuf Juma (KCB FC), Kennedy Owino (Nakuru All Stars), Benard Ongoma (FC Talanta), and Dunca Wafula (Kakamega Homeboyz).
“Ingwe” have been conducting preseason training at the Railways Training Institute (RTI), and the team is scheduled to play a build up match day (January 23) against Ligi Ndogo at the Nyayo Stadium starting 3PM local time.
This was confirmed by the deputy Secretary General Suleiman Angulu.
