Gor Mahia produced a class act – sweeping aside Nzoia Sugar 4-0 in an enthralling Kenyan Premier League match at Moi Stadium, Kisumu Saturday.

Rwandan duo of Jacques Tuyisenge and Meddie Kagere starred in the tie with the former grabbing a brace and the latter a goal to his name.

Kenyan international Francis Kahata sealed the sweet victory for the Coach Dylan Kerr’s outfit with the fourth.

Smarting from a low key 1-1 draw in the Meshemeji Derby, Gor were keen to avoid dropping further points in the title race.

Tuyisenge headed home George Odhiambo’s inch perfect cross for the opener in the 28th minute.

The goal came at a time when the tide was firmly in favor of the Millers, who twice came close to taking the lead.

Vintage Kegere doubled the lead – escorting in Kenneth Muguna’s free-kick for a comfortable 2-0 lead into the breather.

Nzoia blew a chance get back into the game when Stephen Wakanya failed to beat Fredrick Odhiambo from the spot ten minutes into the second stanza.

The miss was punished immediately by Tuyisenge who grabbed a brace on the rebound after being put through by Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza.

Substitute Francis Kahata sealed the rout with the third header of the game off Tuyisenge’s cross from the right to make it 4-0.

The win was Kerr’s sixth in seven outings. The Englishman is yet to taste defeat in the KPL.

Gor are now nine points clear at the top of the table standings on 47 points and are on course to a record 16th title.

2009 champions Sofapaka who take on Chemelil Sugar today are second in the log.
