KPL:AFC Leopards coach Logarusic bids players Bye on Facebook sign that he is not coming back to the Den

By John Nganga,

AFC Leopards Croatian coach Zradvko Logarusic might have been incharge of his last game in the famous win over Sofapaka a forthnight ago if what he he posted in his facebook page is to be believed.

Logarusic has endured untold moments while at Inge related to the financial problems the team has been facing since the pulling out of title sponsor Mumias Sugar .

Coach Logarusic on his facebook page said : Thank you to my Leopards players. It was for me incredible. Thank you and goodbye.”

A statement laced with too much emotions from a coach who has described the problems at AFC Leopards as demoralizing to the players most of who have been searching for others teams to join abandoning the 12 time Kenyan premier league champions.

AFC Leopards have suffered unprecedented moments where players boycotted training and it reached boiling point two weeks ago when the entire playing unit failed to come to the  Nyayo stadium on Match day against Sofapaka  forcing the organizers to push the game one hour ahead of the schedule to give time for the players to be convinced to take to the pitch at the end they had no goalkeeper as striker Karim Ndungwa was handed the onus of manning the sticks.

AFC Leopards  management say they have not been in communication with the Croatian who complained of unpaid salaries and allowances when he left the country.

“It is hard. I cannot say anything about my future at Leopards. You know the situation here. All I want now is a break. I’m off,” said Logarusic in an interview before he left for home.

Kadima said they want to sort the management crisis at the club first and follow up on the player signing and the coach.

“We are in a situation we dont know what the future holds for the club. We have to sort the issue of management. We must have an executive that is focused. For now things are very shaky yet we have to sign players and ensure the coach is back,” said Kadima.

“I cannot conclusively say the coach will be back,” added Kadima.
