By Bonface Osano,
AFC Leopards have dismissed rumour that their industrious strike
Jacob Kelli has asked for a release letter to join another team in
the second leg.
Facebook reports had indicated Kelli had submitted his request
for a release letter to join Gor Mahia or Tusker.
Further reports indicated the club will part with virtually all foreign based players except Emmanuel Ngama and Frederick Ndaaka.
Club acting secretary General Prof.Kadima Kasava dismissed thereports saying they were rumours.
’As far as we are concerned, we normally act on the final report submitted by the technical bench led by the head coach.Any transfer issue is purely a technical bench prerogative.
Kelli is free to take any move.We cant block any player wishing to seek for greener pastures.
Our wish is to retain all the players who featured in the first leg because they have shown their commitment despite the hard times facing the club” said Kadima.
The club spokesman however remained non committal on reports that Nigerian born striker Austin Ikkenna is heading for trials in the next few weeks.
