Kenyan Premier League side Thika United has announced the dropping of four of its players from the senior team during the current transfer window.
In a statement available on its official website, the club has revealed that it has parted ways with former KCB and Gor Mahia striker Ezekiel Odera, former deputy skipper Wycliffe Opondo, youngster Antony Gichio and Kevin Opiyo.
Both Odera and Opiyo only spent the first six months of the season at the club after crossing over prior to the start of the season.
“The management together with the technical team is in a mission to mend a few fences and great strides are being made to strengthen the playing unit,” read a statement in part.
Wycliffe Opondo who joined the club from Chemelil Sugar was the greatest surprise in the list after being a regular in the Tim Bryett’s side.
The coach has made it clear that he will name an entire list of signings next week that will help them revive their form in the second leg.The Brookeside Boys are placed eighth on the standings.
