Nigeria Professional Football League side Kwara United have appointed Abubakar Bala as their new head coach for one year.
Bala takes over from John Obuh who was relieved his duties earlier this week due to a string of poor results.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony at Kwara Stadium Complex on Wednesday, Bala promised to turn the tables and take the team back into winning ways.
“It is an honour to coach a reputable club like Kwara United and I’m looking forward to making the best of it,”Bala told reporters.
“I believe that I have the experience and the capacity to take the team out of their current position. It is no doubt a tough task but I think nothing is impossible.
Before his appointment at Harmony Warriors the gaffer was being sought by both Gombe United and Heartland due to his previous record at Niger Tornadoes whom he steered to Federation Cup final in 2017.
The Ilorin based outfit currently rock bottom in the Nigeria Professional Football League standings, having mustered 11 points in 12 games into the 2017-2018 campaign.
