A late goal from Jonathan Bolingi handed TP Mazembe a 1-0 win over Stade Gabesien in a CAF Confederations Cup match at the Stade Frederic Kibassa Maliba in Lubumbashi on Sunday.
It was the first leg of a qualifying match that will see the winner into the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.
It was not the most entertaining of matches with both sides unimaginative in attack due to poor passing and bad decision making in the final third.
Moreover, when either side did get a chance in front of goal they squandered it with horrible finishing.
The match looked to be heading to a goalless stalemate until a 94th minute goal from Bolingi handed TP Mazembe the advantage ahead of their second leg tie away in Tunisia.
The second leg is scheduled to take place over the weekend of 17/18 May.
