Timu ya taifa ya soka ya Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Congo Leopard, itacheza mchuano wa kimataifa wa kirafiki dhidi ya Gabon tarehe 13 mwezi ujao nchini Ubelgiji.
Leopard itatumia mchuano huo kujiandaa kumenyana na Burundi au Ushelisheli katika mzunguko wa pili wa mchuano wa kufuzu katika hatua ya makundi kutafuta nafasi ya kucheza katika kombe la dunia mwaka 2018 nchini Urusi. Mchuano kati ya Burundi na Ushelisheli utachezwa tarejhe 7 mwezi ujao na baadaye mchuano wa marudiano tarehe 11. Mbali na DRC, mataifa mengine ya Afrika Mashariki na Kati yanajiandaa kufuzu kucheza katika dimba hilo la dunia kuanzia katika mzunguko wa kwanza. Somalia itamenyana na Niger, Sudan Kusini dhidi ya Mauritania, Kenya watacheza na Mauritius huku Tanzania wakipepetana na Malawi. Sudan itapambana na Zambia kufuzu katika hatua ya makundi, Uganda dhidi ya Togo na Rwanda kuchuana na Libya. Kutakuwa na makundi matano na mataifa 20 yatakayotafuta nafasi ya kufuzu kwenda Urusi na zitacheza nyumbani na ugenini na mshindi katika kila kundi atafuzu. Mwaka 2014, Mataifa ya Afrika yaliyoliwakilisha bara la Afrika katika michuano hiyo ni Algeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria na Cameroon.
