Lesotho Premier League sponsors Vodacom together with Metropolitan Lesotho and Standard Lesotho Bank on Wednesday launched the 2016 edition of the Independence Cup.

The Indepedence Cup which is the oldest tournament in Lesotho football history will feature four-teams namely Lioli,Matlama,LCS and Sundawana.

According to the organizers the tournament will be held at Stesoto Stadium on the weekend of October 22 and 23 to mark Lesotho’s 50th year of independence.

Metropolitan and Standard Bank have already availed the sponsorship package where the winner will take home cash prize of M150 000.

The partcipating teams have been also given M10 000 to spend on any charitable event of their choice as a part of giving back to the community before the tournament starts.
