Lesotho National soccer team captain Ntobo Moithari has vowed to bring down Harambee Stars at home by restricting them to a draw to make their Group C qualification a true reality.
Speaking at Nyayo Stadium after the evening training session,Moithari who play’s for local side-Lesotho correctional Services(LCS) said he was confident they will beat Kenya to prove their first leg win was not a fluke.
Kenya,he added, has many talented players who are good individually but the chemistry of a winning team is lacking,
“I think the reason behind was the fact that Kenya are above us on the FIFA and also CAF rankings, and that made our players to feel a little bit inferior to them. We gave them a lot of respect but later discovered that we can match them.”
Asked about his views on Kenya’s performance, Ntobo said: “Kenya are not a bad team. They are more ball players, and they don’t play long balls. So at least we can plan for them; like I have said we have studied their strengths and weaknesses.”
He said unlike Kenya, they have only one professional player Janni Tso tilde who play’s for St.MaryLand of USA who is expected to boost and encourage the rest.
Their were earlier indications that the stadium will not be available for the tie on Sunday because the venue had been booked by Chrisco church foundation. The change of venue could have attracted a bitter wrath from CAF that could have earned Kenya a hefty fine or disciplinary action for the venue change.
