Belgium second division side Lierse SK has tied down Kenyan international Ayub Timbe Masika on a three-year permanent deal.

The sensational winger spent two successful years with Lierse on loan from top league side KRC Genk which ended in the 2015/16 season.

“Lierse, Racing Genk this evening reached agreement for the signing of Ayub Timbe. Masika who played two seasons at Lierse signed a three year contract with our club.” A statement on Lierse official Facebook page stated.

23 years old Masika made 38 appearances for Lierse during the period, scoring eight goals and making several assists.

Lierse managed to ward off interests from Major League Soccer (MLS) side New York City, Westerlo (Belgium) and Dutch side NEC Nijmegen who were salivating for youngster’s signature.
