Iringa’s Lipuli FC and Singida United have both qualified for the Mainland Tanzania Vodacom league after an unassailable lead in their respective groups .
After ten years in waiting residents of Iringa will have a taste of the top tier league after Lipuli qualified after a 3-1 win over Polisi Dar topping group A with 29 points.
Singida town will also once again have the top league played in the town after Singida United beat Alliance Schools 2-0 at the Namfua grounds to top group C with 30 points out of reach of second placed Alliance .
Meanwhile the battle for a third spot in the 16 team league in Group B hasn’t been decided with Kimondo FC withdrawing from the league just a week before competition
The withdrawal by Kimondo leaves the group with seven teams namely Coastal Union,JKT Mlale,Njombe Mji,KMC,Polisi Moro,Mbeya Warriors and Kurgenzi.TFF has warned the teams of severe punishable consequences if they involve in match fixing ahead of the final weekend.
