Zesco will represent Zambia in the Group Stage of the 2016 CAF Champions League with the other three teams in the group now known Zesco can start weighing its chances in the Group stages which is looking not a straightforward business.

AL AHLY (EGYPT)
Perhaps the toughest of the three teams that Zesco will face in the Group stage playing in the Premier league in Egypt and current top of the Egyptian League with five points lead at the top having played 28 games, with two games in hand.
They have Won 20, drawn 5 and only lost only 3 in those 28 games. They have scored 55 goals and allowed 19.
In the Champions League Al Ahly have been exceptional, they last lost a Champions league match on 19th April 2015 away against Mogreb Tetouan 1-0.
After that they beat Mogreb Tetouan 1-0.
In Egypt, drew with Recreativo away, beat Recreativo 2-0 at home, drew with Young Africans away (1-1) and beat Young African2-1 in Egypt.

ASEC MIMOSAS (IVORY COAST)
Playing in League One of Ivory Coast and currently on 5th position after 15 games, won 5 drew 7 and lost 3. They have scored 13 and allowed 5.
In the Champions League Asec Mimosas are at this stage thanks to their 2-0 victory at home against Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya but lost away 2-1.
They also eliminated Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa with a 0-0 draw in South Africa but beat the South African Giant 1-0 in Ivory Coast
WYDAD CASABLANCA (MORROCCO)
On the local league Wydad is fighting off with Fus Rabat, Wydad is on first position on 50 points while Fus Rabat is on 49 points having played one game less. After 28 games, Wydad has won 14, drew eight and lost six.
The Champions League pedigree of Wydad this season is the elimination of the reigning champions (TP MAZEMBE), they beat TP Mazembe 2-0 at home and 1-1 in Congo DR.
Before playing Enyimba they lost 2-1 to CNap Sport of Madagascar but they had done the job at home via a 5-1 victory earlier. Wydad is strong at home
ZESCO road to group stage
Qualified to the Group stage via a 5-2 aggregate against Stade Malien, before that they lost 2-0 to Horoya but they had done the job at home via a 4-1 victory.
In the home League Zesco is second to Nkana with a four point difference after 11 games of which they have 6 wins , 4 draws and 1 loss. They have scored 18 goals and allowed 5.
