We lost fairly to a superior Gor Mahia says Muhoroni’s James Omondi

After a classical 2-0 drubbing of  high flying Muhoroni Youth defending champions Gor Mahia made a statement that they are going for their fourth consecutive league title.

In an emtertaining afternoon match staged at the Moi stadium ,Gir Mahia rained supreme with goals on either half by George Odhiambo and another by Rwandese lethal striker Jacques Tuyisenge.

 

The win sends the mighty Kogallo to the third position knowing that other front runners Mathare,Ulinzi ,Rangers and Leopards are in action today

After  the match ,a dissapointed James Omondi acknowledged that the  defending champions were superior  and deserved the win.

“I can say today I we had a bad day in office,we made a lot of mistakes  and the players were not together,remember the league is a marathon and this is not the end ,I can also say  we only trained in this turf today and our opponents are familiar with it,this affected us” said Omondi

On his part,Gor Mahia captain Musa Mohammed thanked the fans who turned up in large numbers to cheer the team.

In a situation like this  where the match is brought to our fans ,we give it all to fans  and we ensure we win.we had to put in all our efforts to get the three points ,Kisumu  is home  and we appreciate our fans

Other matches played on saturday saw Bandari hold Chemelil to a 1-1 draw with City Stars holding  Ushuru to a goalless draw.Sony resurgence continued with a hard fought 0-1 away win in Machakos against  Sofapaka.

Today will see Ulinzi  take on Thika as Leopards battle Posta Rangers.the other match will see slum boys Mathare lock horns with Western Stima .
