As he looks back at the 2017 season
A Tanzanian side is rumoured to be knocking on the doors of a Zambian top flight side Red Arrows. The targeted player is said to ace Lubinda Mundia.
Word gaining momentum is saying Mundia could be heading to Tanzania to join inland side of this coastal country Singida FC on a 2 year contract.
Though there is no official communication from both Red Arrows or Lubinda, news has gone viral of the striker leaving for Tanzania.
Speaking to Lubinda in a telephone interview, he neither denied nor agreed to the news.
“Bwezani, there’s nothing official yet but am sure there are talks but it will only be official if am let aware of the deal by my employers. ”
Lubinda Mundia scored Six goals in the last season and he is without a doubt one of the best players in the Red Arrows team.
While from a pundit’s point of view the departure of Mundia could discomfort the Airmen. Mundia was quick to dispel that sentiment.
“No no, no player is bigger than a team Bwezani and am sure the technical team will find a replacement if that was to happen.”
Red Arrows finished 10th on the log and are beneficiaries of a K9,000 award from the league sponsors, the news that does not sit in well with Lubinda Mundia.
“We had a good season and great chance of doing far much better. We had a challenge of winning a third game in a roll and that affected us a lot. There are games we thought were obvious wins but those are the games we lost points and that is one big area the technical bench and players need to work on next season.” concluded Lubinda
So then if Red Arrows are letting go of Lubinda Mundia then the followers of this club will be looking for an equal or better than Lubinda influence to spur ARROWS for silverware.
Bwezani of Soka25east will keep tab with this news as it develops.
