South Africa U20 National team humiliated Angola to set up a crunchy encounter with Young Chipolopolo in the 2016 COSAFA U20 Championships final on friday.
Amajita started the match as favourites and soon showed why when Luther Singh scored from a rebound after the Angolan keeper fumbled in the 6th minute to open the scoring
Singh was on fire and dragged his shot marginally wide after being picked with a long through pass above Angola’s defence 12 minutes later.
South Africa would have on many occasions but the Angolan keeper kept their efforts out until the 44th minute when Menzi Ndwandwe scored South Africa’s second with a bouncing header past Angola keeper following a cross from Seriba on the right corner.
The match went to half-time with South Africa in the lead. There was a floodlight failure at the Moruleng Stadium at half-time.
Officials attended to the situation and the aevond half kicked off soon after.
Luther Singh was merciless on the night grabbing his second on a counter-attack after turning his marker inside out before firing into the net in the 57th minute.
Singh was not finishedas he grabbed his well deserved hatrick in the 71st minute before adding a 4th twelve minutes later.
Angola managed to avoid further embarrassment as they saw off the match to lose 5 nil. South Africa will play Zambia on Friday in the final.
