By Ronnie Lusurile,

In a match that had a massive crowd at Wankulukuku stadium, home side Lweza FC needed a late goal to pick up a point against on form Jinja based side Sadolin Paints.

Dangerous striker Norman Ojik opened the scoring for the visitors in the fifth minute after a well laid cross was mis calculated by Lweza custodian Brian Bwete.

Lweza tried to get back into the game with a quick response through attacks from Juma Balinya, Ndawula Moses and hard tackling skipper Paddy Muhumuza but the Painters defence led by teenager Kibirige Moses was alert.

In the 34th minute, goalkeeper Franco Oringa rose to the occasion saving Ndawula’s attempt in a one on one situation.

Lweza head coach Ibrahim Kirya withdrew midfielder Patrick Sembuya before half time for lanky forward Karim Ndugwa in search for goals but still the Sadolin back line was firm despite the attempts.

In the second half with great morale boost from their fans, Lweza threw in their all attacking from all corners with Juma Balinya engineering moves until the real moment came in the 82nd minute when striker Hassan Kikoyo capitalised on poor communication between Sadolin goalkeeper Oringa and his defence to level matters.

The Painters almost restored their lead in stoppage time through Kyambadde Fred but it required goalkeeper Bwete to come out with a world class save to secure a point for the visitors.

The result took Lweza to ninth position with ten points from nine games while Sadolin are now in twelveth position with nine points from eight matches.
