Gor Mahia have zeroed in on two coaches for the vacant head coach role at the club.
They are 50-year old Malta-born English manager Dylan Kerr and 55-year old former Italian international defender Stefano Maccopi.
According to sources at the club, negotiations have started and whomever will agree terms will be engaged as soon as possible.
“The two are the ones we are pursuing after a rigorous vetting process,” one source told Soka25east.com.
K’Ogalo have been without a head coach since Brazilian Jose Marcelo Ferreira resigned last month for a similar position in Albania with KF Tirana.
Zedekiah Otieno “Zico” has been in charge on an interim basis but has failed to produce a win in two league outings.
Kerr is fairly new in the coaching arena compared to Maccopi but has the advantage of having worked in Africa, specifically with Simba SC of Tanzania.
Prier to moving to Tanzania, he was in charge of Hải Phòng Football Club in Vietnam.
Maccopi has handled a good number of teams in Europe including Sampdoria and Palazzolo but has no Africa experience.
He was among coaches who recently applied for the Ivory Coast job but was unsuccessful.
His last job was with Ceahaul in Bulgaria.
