As Zone Two promises sparks again. .
Kansanshi Dynamos Chairman Mark Silimi has casted aspersions about Mufulira Wanderers carrying the favourites tag of winning promotion from Division One Zone two to the FAZ Super league.
Speaking in an interview Maimbo said while Wanderers is a powerhouse, they will struggle because the type of football in Division One is on a different level.
The Kansanshi Dynamos Chairman however expects stiff competition as always and the teams regarded as serious competitors are Indeni and Chambeshi.
“We expect to see a rejuvenated Indeni, Serious competition for now is expected from Gomes,indeni and Chambeshi, this may be so likely due to the experience of the teams in this zone and understanding the environment found in the lower league. For maite that will take a bit of time to adjust. I have not mentioned Mufulira Wanderers but the kind of football that is in division one at the moment will struggle a bit, for me Mufulira Wanderers are not there.’ Silimi said.
Kansanshi Dynamos finished second last season to Kitwe United who eventually got the slot to play in the Super League.
According to the Chairman, the team swerved ties with David Solopi who was the Head Coach.
“We have sought in the services of Israel Mwanza to take over as head coach and confirmed getting Elijah Tana to beef up the technical bench.
“Kashanshi Dynamos have not lost players that traded in the 2017 season apart from one on medical ground. They have nevertheless beefed up the team with players from Nchanga Rangers, Lumwana Radiants and Chingola Mine Police.
“The team, which has had physical training in Zambezi, has returned back to base and preparation have intensified. We have also lined up a number of friendlies in the coming weeks as they prepare to start from where they stopped from in the 2017 season,” he stated.
