Beta television has won exclusive rights to show live the Malawian top tier, the TNM super league. The deal which runs until 2018 will see the giant TV company show live the league with the options of other stations buying matches from them.
They won the right after a stiff competition beating Malindi and Times TV. The deal is worth 266 Malawian Kwacha approximately 372,400 USD
Super League of Malawi (sulom) general Secretary William Banda said he was pleased with the deal and went further to congratulate them
“We are pleased to notify all the stakeholders and the general public that the exclusive
rights have been offered to Beta Television station. On behalf of SULOM and on my
own behalf I wish to congratulate Beta TV for your successful bid and looking forward
to the successful execution of the Contract.” reads a depict of the statement.”
Beta TV started broadcasting live the English Premier League and with the country’s league now set for live action, this is a relief for supporters of big clubs like Nyasa Bullets, Nomads, Silver Strikers etc
