Mamelodi Sundowns have bolstered their goalkeeping department with the signing of experienced Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse from Supersport United.
Pieterse will face huge competition for the No 1 not only from the ever present Denis Onyango but also the experienced Kennedy Mwene,Brimah Razak and Thela Ngobeni.
Pieterse was Bafana Bafana first choice stopper and played in the 2018 Cosafa Cup Plate final to where South Africa beat Botswana 3-0.
With the intensity of participating on several fronts, domestic and continental, bolstering the goalkeeping position was critical for coach Pitso Mosimane and the experience of Pieterse will come in handy on the continental stage.
Sundowns are set to begin their Absa Premiership title defence against Kaizer Chiefs at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on today kick-off.
