Guinean International Naby Keita has also made the cut in Jurgen Klopp’s selection after a reasonable display against Norwich on Sunday. Sadio Mane came on as a second half substitute to score a 77th minute goal as he was returning from an injury.
Mane and Keita are making a return to the very City where they won their first European Cup and sixth for the club.
Wanda Metropolitano is a stadium full of memories for the great sons of the soil as they search for another crown. The duo are on the verge of clinching more silverware with that late Mane strike ensured that the Reds are one step closer to sealing their first League crown in 30 years.
Sadio Mane was an injury concern for the Liverpool boss after he hobbled out of Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Wolves on January 23, but was quickly back to his best in on a stormy Saturday night at Norwich.
Mane proved once more that he is a vital member of the Liverpool team. The fans miss him when he is not around but they do love him more when he scores goals.
