Business man Yusuf Manji got 98% of the votes as he was re elected unopposed as Young Africans chairman for another term in an election held at the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Dar es salaam.

Manji will now serve in the same capacity for a period of four years, his leadership has seen rapid growth witnessed in the club, winning back to back league titles and in the group stage of the Confederations cup

The elections which have been marred by uncertainties with the government through the National Council for Sports stopping it received a lifeline when Kisutu Resident magistrate court dismissed the application lodged to stop the chairman of Yanga from conducting the elections

Yanga are in Turkey sharpening for thir opening clash against Algerian outfit MO Bejaia.

In the previous elections held in July 2012,Manji was elected the chairman following graft a mini elections after the former office bearers resigned. Manji beat John Jambele and Edgar Chibula while Clement Sanga beat Former footballer Yono Kavela.
