Maritzberg United Brian Onyango defender will return for preseason as soon as he gets his South Africa visa, according to the player.

The Kenyan international delayed to return from holiday in Kenya fueling speculations over his future at the club with some news outlets linking him with a move to African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

“It’s not true I have gone AWOL. As soon as I get my visa I will travel back,” Mandela who is still in Kenya told Soka25east on phone.

Mandela, formerly of Tusker FC in the Kenyan Premier League, signed for Maritzberg United from Division two side Santos in July 2015 on a two-year-deal.

He has since added a further two years on the deal, “I am Maritzberg United player and I’m not moving out any soon. I renewed my contract with the club in April this year for a further two years,” he added.
