Sunday’s Mashemeji derby netted a gross sum of Kshs 2,437,200 according to official figures released by the home team AFC Leopards.

The biggest club rivalry in Kenya attracted a disappointing crowd of just 7,004 fans at the Nyayo Stadium.

The VIP section which cost Kshs 1000 had a paltry 480 fans, while the Russia section had 6524 paid up fans.

Leopards managed to bank Kshs 1,453,450 after expenses.

Rivals Gor Mahia on the other hand were content with banking the bragging rights and the three points on offer after clobbering their in-laws 3-0.

Rwandan Meddie Kagere, George Odhiambo and Timothy Otieno scored for K’Ogalo.
