By Steven Kagiri,
Pretoria University Ugandan Striker Geoffrey Massa netted the solitary strike in the 10th minute of the game that helped Uganda progress to the next stage of qualification for the AFCON 2015 Nations cup finals in Morocco.
The South Africa based striker rose highest to nod fellow Portuguese based winger, Martin Kizito Luwagga’s well taken cross from the right to tie the game 2-2 but Cranes advanced due to away goals rule.
There were yellow cards to Madagascar’s Johan Paul in the 24th minute and Uganda’s Aucho Khalid in the 30th Minute during the game.
Uganda’s Hamis Kizza, Tonny Mawejje and the youthful Yunus Sentamu later replaced Emmanuel Okwi, Moses Oloya and William Luwagga Kizito respectively.
Uganda now awaits the winners between Equatorial Guinea and Mauritania who will be in action on Sunday.
Madagascar loss to Uganda prolonged their poor away form as they have only won once in the 11 visits.
