AFC Leopards have signed four players in a bid to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2018 Kenyan Premier League season that kicks-off on 2nd January.
They are forward Ezekiel Otuoma and defender Brian Marita from relegated side Western Stima, goalkeeper Ezekiel Owade from KPL side Nakumatt FC and Baker Lukoya from Uganda’s Soana.
All the four have inked two-year-deals each.
Ingwe as Leopards are nicknamed finished a dismal eighth – twenty six points behind their arch rivals and champions Gor Mahia in the 2017 KPL season.
Nonetheless, they managed to bag the Kenya Cup “GoTV Shield” and will be representing the country in CAF Confederations Cup next year.
To this end head coach Robert Matano has vowed to restructure the team and inject fresh talent as they aim for a good outing in the continent and fight to win the KPL title for the first time since 1998.
Ingwe will curtain raise the 2018 season with a clash against Gor in the Super Cup on 28th January at Kasarani before opening their league campaign against Posta Rangers on 4th February in Machakos.
