2012 AFCON winning striker Emmanuel Mayuka has confirmed his stay at Zamalek SC. The former SouthHampton striker who  has found game time hard to come by since joining the Egyptian giants early last year, Had been linked with a move to Zenit St Petersburg.

Local media reports suggested that Zamalek had terminated the 2012 AFCON topscorer’s contract. This came after a misunderstanding which saw Mayuka even returning home “apparently” due to his absence in Zamalek’s continental squad.

Mayuka posted a video on Instagram which shows him at Tuesday’s Zamalek SC training session with the caption ” Back to doing the thing”. This will obviously put the story to to bed for now.
