A new sports betting company “mCHEZA” was officially launched in the lucrative Kenyan scene over the weekend. They join pioneers Sportpesa that has been a hit among Kenya’s mostly youthful soccer enthusiasts, and are currently the official sponsor of Kenya’s top football league, the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), Betway and Betin.
The new venture in a partnership between global gaming company intralot, Acumen Communications Limited and Safaricom Limited via their popular mobile money platform MPesa.
Fans will be able to place bets on games across 277 leagues across the globe. Registration is by sending the word “Cheza” to 29888. The first 10,000 people to sign up for mCHEZA will receive Kshs 100 in their game account.
