League leaders Tusker edged out a very useful Posta Rangers sides and defending champions Gor Mahia beat Thika United on Sunday as both teams seemingly set their theme for the second leg that began over the weekend.

Tusker’s Noah Wafula struck in the 18th minute after a good exchange between returnee Robert Omunuk and Michael Khamati ended in a long ball floated for him bury home.
The win pushed the brewers back to the summit of the league table after Mathare United had taken an overnight lead on Saturday.
Thika United 1-2 Gor Mahia (Thika Stadium)
It was business as usual for prolific Rwandan striker Jacques Tuyisenge as he scored a brace in the match, heading in his first goal off Eric Ouma’s wonderful cross in the 13th minute.
Tuyisenge doubled his tally and Gor’s four minutes later in the same manner, leaping hight to connect with a cross delivered by Ouma for his eighth goal of the season.
Veteran Jerim Onyango was guilty of sloppy goalkeeping in the 40th minute, allowing Thika forward Eugene Mukangula to halve the deficit for the home team and give them hope of a fight back. But that is all the fat lady sang as no more goals were scored.
