Former Kenyan Premier League champions Sofapaka has secured the signature of veteran full back Michael Bodo from KPL side Kariobangi Sharks on a three-year deal.
“BatotoBaMungu” team manager Hillary Echesa was delighted at the move as he declared it a “solution” for the right back position.
“We have been having a headache in the right full back position but now we have a solution. Bodo is a big signing and we hope he will fit perfectly in the team and help us in our targets next season,” said Echesa.
Bodo arrives at a time when their long serving skipper George Maelo, who occupied that position left
Bodo has previously turned out for Thika United, KCB and Sharks where he took part in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign in 2018.
He is the third signing for Sofapaka after midfielder Roy Okal from Mathare United and goalkeeper Kevin Omondi from Wazito penned two-year deals.
