Benin’s international Michael Pote was on target for his side Apole Nicosie in the third Cypriot First Division league match day.

The Nicosie side defeated New Salamine 4-1 at GSP Stadium.De Carmago double and a goal each by Michael Opote and Salai handed Salamine a heavy beating coming on the back of a 1-0 victory in the last round of matches.

Michael Pote got the fourth goal in the 86th minute while he provided the other three assists in 27th,57th and 72nd of the game.

The win pushes Michael Poye into first position of the Cyprus’ Cypriot championship with the victory scooping their biggest goal tally for the season as Salamine spent the final minutes parked in front of their own to goal to avoid conceding any more goals.
