Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojovic on Wednesday dropped twelve players after day one training at Namboole stadium.
The Serb had earlier summoned 40 players comprising of local based players with the exception of Hassan Wasswa.
The team underwent a four hours session and at the end of it he had to release some players whom he advised to keep the spirits high and keep working hard.
“We have not dropped you because your bad players but that is how football is. We have you in our plans and we shall continue monitoring you. Keep working hard and don’t lose hope” he said while talking to the dropped players.
The players dropped are Ibrahim Kibumba,
Ssenfuka Rahmat, Oromchan Villa, Banga
Fraouk, Mubitu Yisa, Kapampa Eddy, Kagwa
Pius, Wafula Solomon, Balinya Juma, Yiga Muhammad,
Sebudde Timothy and Okello Maxwell.
The Cranes are preparing for the upcoming friendly and international matches against Kitara region, Ethiopia, Senegal (friendly matches) and Cape Verde in the Afcon Cameroon 2019 qualifiers.
Training continues tomorrow morning at Namboole stadium.
