Milutin “Micho” Ssredojevic commenced his second stint as Orlando Pirates manager with a hard fought 1-0 win over Chippa in the ABSA Premiership week one Saturday.

Gabuza sent past Mhlongo a bullet header off Maela’s inch-perfect left cross in the 38th minute to secure the first competitive win for Micho in his second coming.

Micho ditched Uganda Cranes to steady the ship of the floundering Soweto heavyweights early August – succeeding Kjell Jonevret, who only lasted five months on the hot seat.

“We still have a long way to go and by hook or crook we needed to win this game,” the former Rwanda and St. George coach said after the tie.

He cautioned his charges against complacency – reminding them of future goals.

“I also want to warn the players that this win means nothing because we have bigger targets over the next five games.”

Micho previously mentored the Buccaneers for seven months from july 2006 to January 2007. During this period, he managed CAF Champions League semi-final berth.
