Uganda coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojovic has conveyed best wishes to Mamelodi Sundowns keeper as they play Zamalek in the first leg of CAF champions Saturday, October 15 at Lucas Moripe stadium, Pretoria, South Africa.

The second leg, takes place in a week’s time on Sunday, October 23, at Borg el Arab stadium, Alexandria, Egypt.

The “golden boy with diamond hands” was a pillar for Micho as he qualified Ugandan national team, the Cranes, for the AFCON 2017 for the first time in 39 years.

The former St.George and Supersport United shot stopper, again stood tall for country, helping them pick important point away to Ghana in Tamale in their opening World Cup qualifier earlier this month.

And so as he begins a journey with Sundowns of South Africa, to fulfil “childhood dream” of conquering Africa, against mighty Zamalek SC of Egypt, the Serbian penned below message to his stalwart.

We called 2015 golden year of Ugandan football as we won unprecedented 6 away matches in all competitions; leading in AFCON qualifying group, convincingly qualifying for 2016 CHAN and returning CECAFA trophy back home for 14th record time.

Overall, we made a perfect platform for arrival of 2016 diamond year – where we have qualified for the biggest continental football showpiece for the first time since 1978.

In all the above achievements, there has been one main ingredient of success, Denis Onyango, the golden boy with diamond hands, arguably the best goalkeeper in African currently.

And today he has a special test of character, and new measure of goalkeeping values against mighty Zamalek; we wish him all the best in the last hurdle to put childhood dream of winning African champions league into reality.

Good luck serious guy from Nsambya, as you do it for over 30 million Ugandans, one Serbian and one Croatian. We are keeping you in our prayers.

Respectfully, Trustfully and Faithfully yours coach Micho.
