Mike Sserumaga has been named new Sports Club Villa captain ahead of the 2016/17 season replacing Jonathan Mugabi who was earlier released by club President engineer Ben Misagga.
The former Sports Club Victoria University talented midfielder will be deputised by Bernard Muwanga a new recruit from Bright Stars FC.
According to SC Villa Coach Deo Sserwada and his assistant Shafiq Bisaso, Sserumaga is looked at by the young players at the club as a role model which they believe will help the club in meeting it’s set goals come next season.
He now follows in the footsteps of former club skippers Edgar Suubi Watson, Hakim Magumba, Isaac Kirabira, Paul Hasule (RIP) among others.
