Former head coach of KPL side AFC Leopards Ivan Minnaert may be heading to Zambia. The former Ingwe boss is expected to arrive in the country in a few days time.
A source close to the belgian revealed that a deal is almost done between an unnamed club and Minnaert as both parties have agreed terms.
” A Zambian super League side and Ivan have reached an agreement and he is expected to arrive in Zambia in tbe coming days to conclude everything .He likes ambitious projects and am sure thats why he accepted the challenge and he is eager to start and build something with the club”- The source told Soka25east.com.
” He has other offers though, from Rwanda and Congo . He is also shortlisted for the job at Hearts of Oak in Ghana”-The source further added.
Minnaert is a firm believer in player development and feels he can add value to Zambian football.
“The way I’m working , my discipline, bringing attractive and offensive football will be a good thing for Zambian Football at large.My quality to put the players on a higher level. Working to develop young hungry players is also another quality of mine I feel would be beneficial to Zambian Football ”-Minnaert told Soka25east.com back in November.
