Swaziland started their 2017 AFCON qualifying opening match with a shock 1-2 away victory over Guinea in a match played in Morocco.
Guinea who were deprived of home ground advantage due to the ebola outbreak in the country and with its key players missing the clash found themselves down as early as the 12th minute when Mbabane Swallows midfielder Tsabedze Tony scored to put the Swazis ahead.
Francious Kanamo restored parity but Tsabedze scored his second to put the South African tiny nation ahead for the match to end 1-2.
The other match in the group will see Malawi host Zimbabwe today in Blantyre.
Elsewhere in Rabat,hosts Morocco beat Libya 1-0 to start off its Group F campaign on a positive note.
Morocco who had earlier been disqualified by CAF for failure to host the 2015 AFCON had to thank Omar El Kadouri’s 41st minute strike for the full points.
In Rades,Tunisia crushed haples Djibouti 8-1 in a one sided match with
Ferjani Sassi, Saber Khalifa, Fakhreddine
Ben Youssef, Maher Hannachi and Yoann Touzghar all getting to the score sheet with Yassine Chakroui scoring a hattrick.Djibouti had a consolation by Mohamed Liban from the spot.
Several other countries will take to the pitch today and tomorrow.
The 2017 AFCON will be hosted by Gabon.
