Mohamed Salah will not be part to Egypt’s final World Cup qualifier against Ghana on November 12.
Egypt coach Hector Cuper has been criticised for overly relying on Salah. And some sections of the Egptian critics to dub his system as “Pass it to Salah”.
In the last week or so Cuper had indicated that Salah won’t be a part to friendly set for the mid East to give the play space to focus on his club duties. But he opted to completely leave Salah.
Egypt coach Hector Cuper has instead brought in Mahmoud Abdel-Razeq, better known by his nickname Sheekabala.
It is the first call up for the controversial striker since 2014 and is a recognition of his impressive form this season at Saudi club Al-Raed.
The 31-year-old Sheekabala has had troubles on and off the field. He had so much expectations on his shoukders but the man they sometimes calle much to a journeyman has been plagued by injuries.
He played his football in Greece, Portugal, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
The last time Egypt played in Ghana they were given a football lesson for giant on the continent. They lost 6-1 and that destroyed their hope of making it to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Its almost sweet revenge that for 2018 World Cup its them going at the expense of Ghana. But what’s at stake in Ghana are bragging rights.
Liverpool FC lying 6th on the table in the English Premier League would welcome this news.
